Clinton Portis, Santana Moss & Sean Taylor Drank Hennessy Before Games

I wish I had a van to airbrush this masterpiece on the side of.

Sean Taylor died tragically 10 years ago defending his home. Clinton Portis and Santana Moss, his former Redskins teammates that also did time with him at the U, speak of a pre-game ritual we can all smile at. Unless you’re the humorless Jim Zorn, who shit a brick and promptly put the kibosh on it. Hear all about that, where Eli Manning’s future lies and which teams are going to break your heart in January on the latest Papa’s Football Podcast!

Eli Manning Benched – Loy Lee In Studio

In death, a member of Project Mayhem has a name. His name is Eli Manning.

After 210 games, the illustrious (sometimes…occasionally) career of Eli Manning has possibly come to an end, benched by one-and-done coach Ben McAdoo. We discuss his legacy as well as the NFL’s greed cramming a third Thanksgiving game down our throats with cocksman and all-around good guy comedian Loy Lee.

Martavis Bryant Wants Out, Marshawn Lynch Watches From The Stands

Shredder cosplay, son.

Steve Marden of the Foolish Things podcast joins the show to talk the top NFL stories of the week. Namely, Martavis Bryant wants out of Pittsburgh badly, Marshawn Lynch gets ejected only to watch the game from the stands, Robert Mathis is arrested for DUI despite being under the legal limit and is John Fox a secret offensive wizard among others.

Daniel Kalwhite And Mitch Trubisky

Daniel Kalwhite, John Papageorgiou and Brian Bolte say hi to Travis’s mom.

The Papa’s Football Podcast bravely, fiercely and gorgeously struts into week six of the NFL season with special guest Daniel Kalwhite. We talk Mitch Trubisky’s Bears debut, Cam Newton getting in hot water for making a comment perceived by many to be sexist, Redskins wide receiver Terrelle Pryor claiming he was called something worse than a sexist remark in Kansas City, Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster getting caught doing coke on camera and Adrian Peterson getting his walking papers to the Arizona Cardinals. It’s so jam packed that we had to spend the entire episode talking about having sex with Travis’s mom.

One For You Dallas Cowboy Fans (Ugh) (Ft. Jay Sank)

Charles Haley, the only Dallas Cowboy worthy of respect and the Last Naked Warrior

For those of you that don’t know the origin of the term “The Last Naked Warrior,” click here and feast your eyes.

Guys, before I introduce the show, I want you to know that there are indeed new episodes of Papa’s Football Podcast being created. They’re getting uploaded to the main Papa’s Basement YouTube channel and *gasp* are video-centric in nature (meaning we didn’t just set up a webcam to record a podcast’s production). We will get the regular podcast uploads going soon, but I wanted to give you the heads-up to go there in the meantime for all new content.

I hate the Dallas Cowboys, but I love comedian Jay Sank. And he loves Dallas. So, much like a boyfriend taking his chick to see any number of godawful films, Brian Bolte and I let Jeff Cowboy up the show a little. This one was recorded during the offseason, so it’s more of a general reminiscence of the Cowboys’ glory years + a tentative hope that their 2016 wasn’t a fluke, but there’s enough in there for everyone to keep you happy. SO LISTEN AND SHARE DAMMIT.

Papa’s Football Podcast Live From Summers Restaurant (Ft. Travis Dorward)

It’s back! Papa’s Football Podcast returns with its first broadcast of the 2017 NFL season. Brian Bolte and I are joined by comedian Travis Dorward as we broadcast live from Summers Restaurant in Arlington, VA. We talk about how we suffered through the most painful Super Bowl ever (unless you’re a godless Patriots fan) and other offseason news. But, mostly, we just talked about funny things, because there are 50000000 fucking sports shows out there and who needs to hear yet another analysis that ultimately proves to be bullshit anyhow?

Comedian Dom Grayer Talks Week 7 NFL – Papa’s Football Podcast

Dom Grayer is the guy in the middle who named isn't Brian Bolte or Pete Maybe.

Dom Grayer is the guy in the middle who named isn’t Brian Bolte or Pete Maybe.

Last night we had a great time in studio with comedian Dom Grayer (a tragically loyal Browns fan) talking about week seven’s NFL action. It was another week for the league to forget about, with the Seahawks and Cardinals playing to an ugly 6-6 tie on Sunday night, a Roethlisberger-less Steelers falling to the Patriots in Pittsburgh and Drew Brees putting up 21 points only to lose because the Saints’ couldn’t stop a determined chihuahua. Somehow, we still manage to make this crap NFL season funny, so enjoy the episode and give Dom a follow on Twitter – @Dominie18. Listen to the episode below and watch video of us in studio as we recorded it live here.

How The Cowboys Might Still Implode, Comedian Pete McCorvey – Papa’s Football Podcast Week 6

pete-mccorvey-comedian

For those of us sane, God-fearing, good people that hate the Cowboys, this week didn’t offer much to hang our (non-cowboy) hats on: The squad managed to dismantle the floundering Green Bay Packers, with their offensive line, rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott and rookie quarterback Dak Prescott. But there is hope for us yet! And I detail exactly what that is in the newest episode of Papa’s Football Podcast, featuring a call from comedian Pete McCovey. And remember: Every time you share this post, a nerve in the spines of Dallas’ offensive line tweaks.

Comedian Corky “Knievel” McDonnell Calls In

Question one: What's it like to be a fan of a team that doesn't use your hopes and dreams as a bedpan?

Question one: What’s it like to be a fan of a team that doesn’t use your hopes and dreams as a bedpan?

Corky “Knievel” McDonnell is a gifted comedian and improv performer based in Sacramento, California who happens to be a Seahawks fan. As a Redskins fan, I explore the parallels the two teams have enjoyed over the past decade, with the Redskins in essence being the losing version of the Seahawks. Corky talks Russell Wilson’s marriage to Ciara, what life is like after Marshawn Lynch and if he gives a damn about a resurgent Rams squad, as well as some stage time he shared with Don Geronimo (all roads lead to Geronimo if I can make them) on the latest Papa’s Football Podcast.
